Shopping FAQs
What’s the difference between loose-leaf tea and tea bags?
Loose-leaf tea gives the tea leaves, herbs, and botanicals more room to expand while steeping, which can result in better for flavor and aroma. You are preparing the tea yourself so you can see exactly what you're consuming and its healthier for you. You can easily steep loose-leaf tea using an infuser, tea ball, reusable filter, or disposable tea filter.
How long does it take to process and ship my order?
Most retail orders are processed within 2–4 business days. Once shipped, delivery typically takes an additional 2–5 business days, depending on your location and selected shipping method.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes. Savory Blends Tea Co. ships throughout the United States. Available shipping rates and estimated delivery times will appear at checkout.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes. Local pickup is available for select orders at our Scott’s Addition pickup location in Richmond, VA. Select the pickup option at checkout, and you’ll receive pickup instructions once your order is ready.
How can I track my order?
Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information. You can also visit our Track My Order page for updates.
What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of our products, tea sales are final. If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or there is an issue with your shipment, please contact us so we can help.
Do your teas contain caffeine?
Some blends contain caffeine, including teas made with black, green, white, oolong, or pu-erh tea. Herbal and rooibos blends are generally naturally caffeine-free. Caffeine information is noted on individual product pages.
Are your teas organic?
We use high-quality teas, herbs, fruits, spices, and botanicals sourced from trusted suppliers. While some individual ingredients may be organically grown or certified organic, not all ingredients in our blends are certified organic, so we do not market our teas as organic unless specifically stated.
Do you offer wellness-focused teas?
Yes. Many of our blends are thoughtfully crafted around everyday wellness rituals such as relaxation, hydration, digestion, mood, and rest.
Our teas are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Our tea blending workshops are interactive experiences designed around tea education, creativity, and connection.
Depending on the selected experience, workshops may include guided tea education, tea sampling, flavor and aroma exploration, tea-themed activities, light refreshments, and the opportunity for each guest to create and package a custom loose-leaf tea blend to take home.

What are Tea Tastings + Activations?
Tea Tastings + Activations are flexible tea experiences that can be customized to fit your event.
Options may include a guided tea tasting, a curated tea sampling bar, or an interactive blend-your-own tea station where guests explore teas, herbs, spices, and botanicals while creating a personalized blend.
These experiences are ideal for corporate events, wellness programs, conferences, community gatherings, private celebrations, and other special events.
What is a Tea Activation Station?
A Tea Activation Station is an interactive, drop-in tea experience designed for events where guests may be arriving and participating throughout the event.
Guests may sample a selection of teas, explore ingredients and aromas, learn about loose-leaf tea, or create their own custom tea blend at the station.
Activation stations work especially well for corporate wellness fairs, conferences, employee events, brand activations, community events, and other high-traffic gatherings.
Do you offer tea catering or tea parties?
Yes. We offer tea catering and curated tea party experiences for private celebrations, corporate events, showers, birthdays, weddings, and other special occasions.
Options may range from beautifully styled tea catering to more immersive themed tea experiences depending on your event needs.
How far in advance should I book an event?
We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance, especially during spring, fall, and the holiday season.
Larger events, customized experiences, and peak dates may require additional lead time. Limited last-minute availability may be possible.
Do you travel for events?
Yes. We serve Richmond and surrounding areas and travel for select events outside the region. Travel fees may apply depending on location, distance, staffing, and event requirements.
